A Bright Start to Apple Season
Cortland apples are a classic New England variety known for their beautiful bright red skin and crisp white flesh. They offer a balanced flavor — mildly sweet with a gentle tart finish — making them refreshing and easy to enjoy fresh off the tree.
One of Cortland’s most loved traits is its slow browning once cut. This makes it ideal for cheese boards, school lunches, and picnic spreads. While it’s wonderful fresh, it’s not considered a long storage apple and is best enjoyed soon after harvest.
